We are very proud to announce that three Umedia co-productions are officially selected for the 80th Venice Internationale Film Festival, which will take place from 30 August to 9 September.

Orrizonti Extra category

L’Homme d’argile, a Koro Films production.

The first feature film of Anaïs Tellenne, a brilliant writer and director, is one the nine works selected for the Orrizonti category.

Raphaël, a one-eyed man, is the caretaker of a mansion where no one lives anymore. Soon to turn 60, he lives with his mother in a small house located at the entrance to the grounds of the stately manor. Between mole hunting, bagpipe practice and the occasional ride in the postwoman’s Kangoo van, the days resemble one another. But one stormy night Garance, the estate’s heiress, comes back to the family’s abode and now nothing will ever be the same again.

Out of Competition 

Making Of, Cédric Kahn’s comedy which was shot following Le Procès de Goldman, will be presented out of competition. In this Curiosa Films production we can find Denis Polyades and Jonathan Cohen.

Simon, a well-known French filmmaker, starts shooting his next film. A story about workers fighting to protect their factory from being relocated. But nothing goes as planned…

D’argent et de Sang, a TV series directed by Xavier Giannoli and Frédéric Planchon is also selected in this category.
