Mariah Mundi is a young man whose adventures are set in a Victorian world of invention, mystery and magic. Based upon the bestselling books by G.P Taylor, The Adventurer: Curse of the Midas Box is the first of three stories.
17 year old Mariah Mundi’s world is torn apart when his parents suddenly disappear, leaving him to fend for himself and his brother Felix. When unknown assailants kidnap his younger sibling, he’s left with no choice but to unite with the strange adventurer ‘Captain Charity’ and take off in pursuit. The trail leads them away from the smog of Victorian London to the mysterious Prince Regent, a majestic hotel with a sinister underworld filled with Villains, Child catching creatures and an extraordinary box that turns everything to gold.More about VFX

Umedia VFX is extremely proud to have been asked and trusted to supervise and deliver all the VFX shots for this exciting period fantasy starring Sam Neill, Michael Sheen, Ioan Gruffudd and Aneurin Barnard. For this huge project we significantly expanded our CG pipeline to enable us to easily create stunning 3D animations, exploding villains and environmental effects.
Led by Jonathan Cheetham and Clare Cheetham, Umedia VFX also created concept designs, previs and postviz, substantial digital set extensions and highly detailed matte paintings. All vfx were integrated by our very strong compositing team.
