Technical aspects

1. Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications: - following procedural documentation - report and escalation any issue 2. Talking to staff or free-lance through a series of actions, either face to face or over numeric solution to help setup systems or resolve issues 3. Troubleshooting system and network problems; diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults - Replacing parts as required - Written instructions to repair a fault or set up a software - Escalation any issue to third parties if unsolved 4. Providing efficient helpdesk and support - Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time - Working continuously on a task until completion - Escalation any issue to third parties if appropriate - Logging all employee queries 5. Updating of the work stations system 6. Rewriting of IPtables rules 7. Samba 3 to Samba 4 migration

Quality Control

1. Updating self-help and internal IT documents 2. Keep IT inventory up to date 3. Keep support software database up to date 4. Redirect any query on infrastructure, upgrades or policies to IT manager 5. Report any environment risk to manager

Hours, environment and industry

1. Be respectfully of planning - Some interventions will be done before or after employee oncoming - To limit a project downtime, a week-end will be used to major work 2. Respect policies and process 3. Keep the NODAL and IT controlled room clean and safe 4. Assist higher level technician to performing specifics jobs duties

R&D, IT projects

1. Working in the tight project specifications - Respect timetables 2. Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status and operation

Lead Compositors are responsible for seamlessly integrating the elements and layers of a shot, including live-action and CG elements.

Lead Compositors will work closely with Visual Effects Supervisor, VFX Producers to composite the numerous elements that complete a visual effects shot.

  • Seamless integration of live action, miniature and CGI layers in real live shots.
  • 3D tracking, matte extraction, layering of elements and color grading
  • Blue/green screen extractions
  • 2.5D DMP Projection
  • Problem-solving of complex compositing issues in a creative way
  • Take part in reviews
  • Be able to manage a team of artists and share his knowledge

Essential skills and Requirements:

Candidates should have 5+ years feature film experience

An excellent working knowledge of Nuke, Mocha, Photoshop

Knowledge of Python, maya, 3d tracking software, after effect will be a plus.

Good understanding of the film pipeline

Critical eye for detail

Strong knowledge of composition and color

Knowledge and interest in photography and practical lighting is helpful

Traditional artistic and design skills

Be responsible for managing your time

Good communication skills

Pro-active and accepting of changes

Positions are available for mid and senior artists, although we’ll be happy to hear from skilled juniors as well.

What you’ll do:

  • Compositing of live-action and CG elements to create technically perfect and visually stunning final shots.
  • Take directions from the lead artists and supervisors
  • Find creative ways to solve complex compositing issues.
  • Help / brief junior artists
  • Work closely with the production coordinators to meet the deadlines.

You are well versed in Nuke (background in Shake is considered a plus),

YOUR MISSION

The VFX Producer role carries significant responsibilities both internal and external and is at the heart of a project. From the script breakdown and bidding process through to driving a production schedule and managing a budget, being effective in this role is crucial to a well-organized project. The VFX Producer liaises with the client throughout the entire process.

Your direct responsibilities include:

  • Support the Head of Sales at client meetings and during client calls
  • Breakdown scripts & create budgets
  • Quote work with the Visual Effects Supervisor, select artists, technical staff & R&D
  • Plan and schedule facility resources with the various teams and departments
  • Ensure the most effective approach to the visual effects work
  • Ensure the progression of work to the client’s satisfaction; act as liaison between client and Umedia
  • Report the progress of work internally and to the client on a weekly basis
  • Manage the project’s budget
  • Ensure all departments are aware of the project’s requirements, e.g. disk space, rendering, etc.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a VFX Producer on VFX projects for feature films
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Autodesk Shotgun software (or equivalent)
  • Good understanding of task scheduling software like Microsoft Project
